Volusia Traffic School
Volusia County Driving
School
If you're a resident of Daytona Beach, Deland,
Halifax, Orange City, or Ormond Beach, have a Florida Driver's license, or you received a traffic ticket in Florida, then
traffic school may be for you!
Pursuant to Florida Statute 318.14(9), if you have received a traffic citation
for an infraction that does not require a mandatory hearing and you do not currently hold a CDL license, you may elect to
complete a defensive driving school. Upon completion of the school, the Clerk of Court will withhold adjudication of guilt
and no points will be assessed against your driving record.
Within 30 days of the issue date of your traffic ticket,
mail this form, along with the fine to the Volusia County Clerk of Court to elect traffic school. Failure to pay the fine and
attend traffic school will result in suspension of your driver’s license and the assessment of late fees.
There are many Driver School Course Providers in Florida. You can find a traffic school online, or you can
enroll in a Florida DHSMV and Court approved online traffic school course with The Emilio School, Inc.
