If you're a resident of Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Palm Bay, or Titusville, have a Florida Driver's license, or you received a traffic ticket in Florida, then traffic school may be for you! By electing traffic school you may be able to avoid points on your driver's license, and maintain your clean driving record.

The option of attending school does not apply to all traffic infractions.  If you hold a CDL license, you are not eligible to elect driving school.  After September 30, 2006, if you are charged with exceeding the speed limit by 30 mph or more, you are not eligible to elect driving school.  A mandatory court appearance is required.   

Successful completion of driver improvement school will keep violation points from being entered on a driver record. However,  failure to pay the fine and attend traffic school will result in suspension of your driver’s license and the assessment of late fees.

1. Your insurance rates cannot go up and your policy cannot be canceled unless you are at fault in a crash.
